Seppo has established processes and efficiency through continuous development work
The Seppo gamification platform offers teachers, HR managers, team leaders, and many others the opportunity to transform learning and knowledge sharing into games. Since 2012, the company, also known as “Lentävä Liitutaulu”, has served over 1500 client companies in more than 50 countries. Pipedrive has been strongly adopted within the company as the company’s billing, customer experience, and sales teams all actively use Pipedrive daily. The collaboration between Seppo and Zimple is an excellent example of how the right partner can help automate business processes and improve efficiency.
Collaboration began with billing process automation
Seppo initially adopted Pipedrive for customer relationship management in 2017, but a few years later, they realized that automating business processes would require further development work and integrating it with other systems. Zimple became involved in the development work when Seppo needed a partner to automate billing processes. Zimple was a natural choice because Seppo wanted an integration expert and Pipedrive partner based in Finland.
Automation and integrations streamlining data movement
Cooperation with Zimple began in 2021 with the integration of the Netvisor billing system into Pipedrive, and has continued as ongoing development work to this day. Zimple’s experts have helped Seppo to automate business processes and integrate Pipedrive with other systems.
In addition to billing integration, another significant project has been the automation of recurring billing. Previously, recurring billing was a manual process in which old customer data was copied manually for new invoices, with adjustments if needed. Now, thanks to Zimple, recurring licenses are generated automatically in Pipedrive when sufficient customer and order information is available.
In addition to billing processes, Zimple has helped with automating lead management. Website visitors who turn into leads through the online chat system are automatically transferred to Pipedrive for the sales team to follow up with.
Established processes enable scalability
Automated business processes and integrations have stabilized Seppo’s operations and enabled company growth. With the efficiency brought by integrations, Seppo can scale its operations and ensure that processes remain stable even if staff changes.
Pipedrive has also been more widely adopted within the company from a sales management and forecasting perspective. While there is still room for progress toward perfect predictability, Seppo’s COO Tero Kulha states that the company is moving in the right direction:
“Pipedrive usage, in general, has brought efficiency. One benefit of Pipedrive is that sales management practices have improved. Due to cultural and competency reasons, we couldn’t directly jump into having a precise and fully detailed sales process. However, we are moving in that direction all the time.”
Recommendations for collaboration with Zimple
The cooperation with Zimple has helped Seppo to streamline its business operations. Tero recommends Zimple as a Pipedrive partner for other companies and praises their communication:
“The collaboration has been smooth. Zimple’s team has done an excellent job, it has been customer-centric, and issues have been addressed quickly. Communication is clear. It is the key to smoothness. The concrete work has been handled easily and in a good spirit. It has been good to have flexibility in our work.”
Seppo’s experiences illustrate that integrations and automation can bring concrete value to businesses and help companies stabilize their operations and enable scalability. Tero believes that there is still untapped potential for the company in Pipedrive:
“We use perhaps 50-60% of Pipedrive’s features. We don’t use the reporting features in Pipedrive much, and there are probably other things that could be beneficial. We are, in a way, doing quite basic stuff with it. At this point, it is enough for us.”
